Energy Update, a magazine launched in May 2006 to cater to the burgeoning energy sector of Pakistan. This is the only trade magazine on Energy in our country, and our aim is to become a 'voice of the energy industry.

When Energy Update started out on its journey to become a publication dedicated to the energy sector in Pakistan, it set before itself the high aim of becoming the voice of the energy industry.The magazine focusing on the developments in the global energy sector, with particular interest to Pakistan, and will also be covering developments in the alternate energy, especially CNG/ NGV, of which Pakistan is the largest consumer in the world.

Russia Can Nearly Quadruple Share of Renewable Energy by 2030
Moscow, Russia, 5 April 2017 – Russia can increase the share of renewables in its energy mix from roughly 3 per cent today to more than 11 per cent by 2030, according to new findings by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA). The growth in renewable energy use would represent nearly a fourfold increase in the share of renewables between 2014 and 2030.

2016 a Record Year for Renewables, Latest IRENA Data Reveals
Abu Dhabi, UAE, 30 March 2017 — Global renewable energy generation capacity increased by 161 gigawatts (GW) in 2016, making the strongest year ever for new capacity additions, according to data released today by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA). Renewable Energy Capacity Statistics 2017, estimates that by the end of last year the world’s renewable generation capacity reached 2,006 GW, with solar energy showing particularly strong growth.
