Ban on new CNG Connections Lifted

ISLAMABAD: The government has lifted the ban on new Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) connections across the country. The moratorium on fresh connections on local gas to the industrial sector was imposed in 2011 and the industry was given re-gasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG) connections. The move was welcomed by All Pakistan CNG Association Central Chairman Ghiyas Abdullah Paracha. In a statement, he hailed this decision saying it will give a new life to the CNG sector. OGRA Proposes Slight Increase In Petrol, HSD Prices

ISLAMABAD: The government is likely to keep the prices of petroleum products largely unchanged for November as the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has worked out minor adjustments in the costs of various imported products. A senior official at the ministry of energy said that Ogra had worked out an increase of Re1 and 27 paisa in the prices of every litre of petrol and high speed diesel (HSD), respectively.
