US LNG feedgas demand hits new record on positive market trends

Supplies of power plant fuel have tightened in Japan due to reports of a possible delay in restarting a nuclear generation facility. That, in turn, has created higher demand for LNG cargoes to be delivered next month. US export facilities have recently been operating at near capacity since rebounding from a drop in utilization during the Texas freeze in February, which reduced Gulf Coast output. China launches maiden LNG bunker ship

The 8,500 cubic metre capacity ship is the first new building LNG bunkering vessel built for Chinese natural gas distributor ENN, one of the largest users of LNG in China. ENN aims to play an active role in the international marine LNG fuel supplier market. Sindh’s nominees for NEPRA tribunal rejected

The federal government has rejected a panel recommended by Sindh for appointing member finance of the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) tribunal on the grounds the candidates did not meet the eligibility criteria.
