Gauss Auto to establish an EV plant in Karachi

The ‘Gauss Auto Group,’ a Chinese corporation, has announced plans to build an electric vehicle (EV) plant in Pakistan’s special economic zone near Port Qasim in Karachi. The company would enter into a joint venture (JV) with AKD Group Holdings (Pvt) limited, and export their locally produced EVs from Pakistan to other countries. SHC suspends NEPRA’s winter package decision on KE appeal

Sindh High Court on Thursday suspended the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) decisions with regard to federal government’s winter incentive package for electricity consumers on incremental consumption of K-Electric. The interim order came on KE petition against Nepra decisions on incremental consumers of KE and the power utility’s subsequent appeal.
