ANKARA – The Embassy of Pakistan in Ankara organized a solemn event to observe Youm-e-Tashakur, marked by the participation of the Pakistani community in Turkey. The day was observed to express heartfelt gratitude to Allah Almighty for Pakistan’s resolute victory against Indian aggression, and to honor the Armed Forces and the resilient nation of Pakistan for their role in Operation Bunanu-um-Marsoos and Marka-e-Haq.

Speaking at the occasion, Ambassador Dr. Yousaf Junaid recalled the aftermath of the Pahalgam attack in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasized that Pakistan had called for a neutral, credible, and impartial investigation—an appeal that was widely supported by the international community. However, India disregarded these calls and committed a grave act of aggression through unprovoked attacks on Pakistani soil, causing tragic civilian casualties, including women and children. The ambassador described the act as a blatant violation of international law and humanitarian norms.

Dr. Junaid further highlighted Pakistan’s decisive response through Operation Bunanu-um-Marsoos, launched in self-defense following Indian strikes on Pakistan’s military air bases. The operation, he said, successfully neutralized high-value military targets and became a defining moment in Pakistan’s military history, effectively thwarting the enemy’s hostile objectives.

He expressed deep gratitude to the Turkish nation, particularly President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, for their unwavering support and solidarity during the crisis.

In his concluding remarks, Ambassador Junaid paid tribute to Pakistan’s political leadership, the professionalism of its Armed Forces, and the resilience of the Pakistani people, all of whom stood united like a fortified wall in defense of the nation.
