The World Wind Energy Association (WWEA) and the Chinese Wind Energy Association (CWEA) are pleased to announce the 22nd World Wind Energy Conference (WWEC2025), taking place from 3–5 December 2025 in Shantou, Guangdong Province, China – a city renowned for its wind power industry and innovation.
WWEC2025 will serve as the premier global platform for researchers, policymakers, industry leaders, and stakeholders in the wind energy sector. Participation in the conference will be complimentary, ensuring broad and inclusive attendance from across the globe.
Interested contributors are invited to submit abstracts by the extended deadline of 31 May 2025 via the official submission portal: www.wwec2025.org.cn/toPaperEnPage.
Conference Themes Include:
- Technological Innovations in turbine design, offshore wind, smart grids, and digitalization
- Market and Policy Trends, including regulatory frameworks and emerging global markets
- Sustainability & Social Responsibility, focusing on environmental impact, community engagement, and decommissioning
- Optimization & Cost Efficiency in wind farm operations
- Education & Workforce Development
- Belt and Road Initiative, highlighting collaborative wind energy projects
All abstracts must be written in English, limited to 500 words, and include a list of keywords. Submissions may be for oral or poster presentations.
