Hamburg, Germany, October 14, 2025 – In a major step toward advancing wind energy logistics, deugro Germany has signed a strategic port handling agreement with J. Müller, the local port and terminal operator at the Port of Brake. The collaboration follows deugro’s recent award to handle and store wind turbine components for a leading global wind turbine manufacturer.

This partnership unites deugro’s two decades of global expertise in wind energy transportation and project logistics with the Port of Brake’s advanced infrastructure and J. Müller’s extensive port handling experience along Germany’s North Sea coast. The port’s capabilities include heavy-lift quays, high-capacity cranes, large laydown areas, customized truck exit routes, and a deep draft of 11.9 meters, accommodating vessels up to 275 meters in length—making it an ideal hub for managing oversized renewable energy cargo.

The collaboration will ensure the efficient unloading, storage, and distribution of rotor blades and other large wind turbine components, supporting the growing logistics demands of Germany’s renewable energy transition.

“This agreement underscores our dedication to delivering tailored logistics solutions for the renewable energy sector,” said Christian Schulz, Vice President Global Strategic Accounts at deugro. “Brake’s strategic location and our partner’s operational excellence provide the perfect foundation for handling complex wind turbine components efficiently and safely.”

Simon Junker, Head of Renewable Energy | Onshore Wind and Cable at deugro, added: “This partnership strengthens our role in the wind energy supply chain and reinforces Germany’s transition toward a sustainable energy future.”
