OGRA Reduces LPG Prices for November Amid Global Decline

ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a reduction in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices for November, attributing the cut to lower international rates and a marginal appreciation of the Pakistani rupee.

The new maximum consumer price for an 11.8 kg domestic LPG cylinder has been fixed at Rs. 2,378.89, reflecting a decrease of Rs. 69.44 or 2.83% compared to October’s rate of Rs. 2,448.33. On a per kilogram basis, the price has dropped by Rs. 5.88.

According to OGRA, the revision follows a 3.52% decline in the Saudi Aramco Contract Price (CP)—the key benchmark for domestic LPG pricing—and a 0.15% improvement in the rupee’s exchange rate against the US dollar.

Producer prices have also been adjusted downward, with the notified rate for November set at Rs. 1,891.55 per 11.8 kg cylinder, down from Rs. 1,960.99 in October.
