KARACHI: The 15th Annual Fire Safety & Security Convention 2025, organised by the National Forum for Environment & Health (NFEH), recognised 45 public and private organisations for their exemplary fire safety systems and emergency preparedness. The awards were presented by Syed Afzal Hameed, Senior Vice-Chairman of the Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD), Ahmed Azeem Alvi, President of the SITE Association of Industry, and Muhammad Ikram Rajput, President of the Korangi Association of Trade & Industry (KATI).

Muhammad Naeem Qureshi, President of NFEH, emphasised that the awards encourage industries to prioritise safety, strengthen emergency response mechanisms, and invest in risk prevention systems. He highlighted that NFEH is committed to promoting a nationwide culture of fire safety and disaster preparedness.
NFEH Vice-President Nadeem Ashraf added that compliance with international safety standards not only saves lives but also enhances the credibility of Pakistani manufacturers in global markets. He called on industries to upgrade their fire and emergency systems to meet international benchmarks and adopt proactive measures for employee and asset protection.
The awards underscored the importance of collaborative efforts among government authorities, industrial associations, and civic bodies to safeguard Karachi’s residents, workplaces, and commercial centres.
