KARACHI: Reko Diq Mining Company has awarded Finland-based Metso Corporation the remaining major contracts under a frame agreement announced in August 2024 to supply beneficiation and dewatering equipment for its copper-gold project in Pakistan.

The newly signed contracts are valued at approximately €70 million, Metso stated on December 22. Of this total, €40 million was recorded in Metso’s Minerals segment order intake for Q3 2025, with the remaining €30 million booked in Q4.

The contracts cover a complete beneficiation circuit, including a flotation flowsheet featuring Metso’s TankCell and Concorde Cell technologies. TankCell mechanical cells will handle the rougher and cleaner scavenger stages, while forced-air pneumatic Concorde Cells will manage ultrafine particle cleaner scalper and recleaner duties.

Concorde Cell technology will work in conjunction with HIGmill regrinding mills ordered for the project in 2024. Metso noted that this configuration represents one of the first fully integrated HIGmill–Concorde Cell circuits, delivering an energy-efficient regrinding and flotation solution for processing finely disseminated, complex ores.

For concentrate filtration, the order includes four Larox PF60 series filters with associated auxiliaries and slurry pumps for primary and secondary filtration stages. The supply also covers five high-rate thickeners equipped with Reactorwell technology.

Additionally, the contracts include a mill reline machine to service the Premier ball mills ordered for the project in 2024, highlighting Metso’s capability to provide mills, mill linings, and reline machines as a fully integrated package.
