LAHORE: The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) provided 124,437 new electricity connections between July and December 2025, underscoring its ongoing efforts to enhance consumer access and service delivery.

According to LESCO officials, the newly issued connections included 119,511 domestic, 4,224 commercial, 605 industrial and 92 tube-well connections. The figures reflect steady growth in demand across residential and business sectors within LESCO’s jurisdiction.

In addition to conventional connections, LESCO also made significant progress in renewable energy integration. During the same period, 129,979 net metering connections were successfully installed, adding around 1,900 megawatts of solar photovoltaic capacity to the national grid.

Officials said the expansion of net metering highlights the rising adoption of rooftop solar systems and LESCO’s role in facilitating clean energy generation while easing pressure on the power supply network.
