Two New Security Check Posts Approved for OGDCL Nashpa Plant

PESHAWAR: The district administration of Karak has decided to establish two new security check posts at the OGDCL oil and gas plant in Nashpa to enhance protection of the strategically important facility.

The decision was taken during a high-level meeting chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Karak, Sahibzada Samiullah, which reviewed administrative, security, and technical matters concerning the Nashpa plant.

The meeting was attended by the OGDCL regional coordinator, field manager, and security in-charge of the Nashpa plant, the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Banda Daud Shah, tehsildars of Karak and Banda Daud Shah, field revenue officials, OGDCL Kohat representatives, and local elders.

Participants held detailed deliberations on the prevailing security situation, proposed locations of the check posts, access routes, deployment of security personnel, and other operational aspects. Emphasis was placed on the need for a coordinated security framework to safeguard critical national energy infrastructure.

It was unanimously agreed that two new security check posts would be constructed immediately on the southern side of the Nashpa plant to strengthen surveillance and improve emergency response capabilities.

Addressing the meeting, the ADC directed all concerned departments to ensure close coordination, effective communication, and timely implementation of the agreed measures to maintain a strong security environment at the facility.
