With persistent grid instability and rising electricity tariffs, residential solar adoption in Pakistan has evolved from a cost-saving alternative into a critical solution for household energy security. Benefiting from more than 3,000 hours of sunshine annually, Pakistan’s rooftop solar market has recorded consistent year-on-year growth since 2020, driven largely by homeowners seeking protection against frequent power outages.

As one of the earliest international inverter brands to establish a strong footprint in Pakistan, Growatt has been supporting the local market since 2016 with solutions tailored to regional grid conditions and usage habits. Building on this experience, the company now introduces the SPE Series IP20 hybrid inverters, a purpose-built residential energy platform that integrates solar power generation, battery storage, and intelligent energy management into a single, cost-effective system—designed specifically for blackout-prone environments.

The SPE Series covers a power range from 3.5kW to 12kW, making it suitable for both small households and larger homes requiring full backup capability. Equipped with dual MPPTs, the inverters adapt efficiently to different rooftop orientations, ensuring optimized solar energy harvesting under diverse installation conditions. Entry-level models such as the SPE 3500–6000TL HVM-G2 support up to 8,000W PV input, delivering stable output with a 1.0 power factor—adequate for essential household loads during grid outages.

For higher energy demands, the SPE 12000 ES provides 12kW output and supports parallel operation of up to nine units, allowing system capacity to scale up to 108kW. With support for both single-phase and three-phase configurations, the system enables homeowners to expand capacity in the future without major changes to existing infrastructure.

Designed with battery-centric operation in mind, the SPE Series features built-in CAN and RS485 communication ports for seamless integration with lithium battery systems. This ensures precise control of charging and discharging parameters, enhancing battery safety and lifespan. An integrated Smart Load function further improves energy efficiency by automatically managing non-critical loads based on the battery’s state of charge, preserving backup power for essential appliances during extended outages.

Through the ShinePhone App, the SPE Series offers users real-time visibility into solar generation, household consumption, and battery status. Intelligent time-of-use scheduling allows batteries to discharge during peak electricity pricing periods, maximizing solar self-consumption while reducing reliance on the grid. Users can choose from multiple operating modes—including Solar First, Solar & Utility, and Utility First—to tailor energy usage according to personal preferences and local grid conditions.

Certified for operation across tropical, temperate, and desert climates, the Growatt SPE Series demonstrates stable performance under high temperatures, humidity, and voltage fluctuations. By combining scalability, intelligent energy management, and robust environmental adaptability, the SPE Series provides Pakistani households with a practical and reliable pathway toward long-term energy independence
