FAISALABAD: Chief Executive Officer of Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO), Engr Muhammad Aamer, has reaffirmed the company’s commitment to ensuring uninterrupted electricity supply and prompt resolution of consumer complaints across its service region.

Addressing an online E-Katchery held via Facebook at FESCO Headquarters in line with directives of the Ministry of Energy (Power Division), the CEO stated that resolving consumer issues remains the organisation’s top priority and that no negligence in this regard will be tolerated.

He said all possible measures are being taken to maintain continuous power supply, while new electricity connections, replacement of faulty meters, and other service-related matters are being handled on a priority basis. The online open forum, he added, has enabled consumers to register complaints directly with the CEO from their homes, creating a more transparent and consumer-friendly environment.

Engr Aamer noted that such open forums will continue in the future, as they have proven effective in ensuring swift redressal of complaints. He emphasised that FESCO is committed to introducing further consumer-centric policies to strengthen communication and trust between consumers and field staff.

In addition to the Central Monitoring Cell established at headquarters, consumers can lodge complaints round the clock through helpline 118, toll-free number 0800-66554, and SMS service 8118, upon which immediate action is initiated.

The CEO also urged citizens to remain vigilant against electricity theft in their areas and cooperate with FESCO teams in curbing the practice, stressing that eliminating power theft is essential to provide relief to honest consumers.

During the two-hour Facebook E-Katchery, consumers from eight districts — Faisalabad, Chiniot, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Sargodha, Mianwali, Khushab and Bhakkar — raised issues including early installation of new connections, replacement of old poles and wires, transformer upgradation, faulty meters and voltage fluctuations. The CEO issued on-the-spot instructions to concerned officers for immediate resolution of these matters.
