KARACHI, March 5, 2026: Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) marks the launch of new CSR schemes in Balochistan with a total allocation of approximately Rs. 521 million, including 64 new scholarships, skills development and employment scheme for 50 local youth and rehabilitation of 10 years old educational and healthcare facilities in District Dera Bugti besides a new separate gas supply pipeline laid in collaboration with SSGCL for far flung colonies within the free gas distribution system of Sui Town at a ceremony organized by the company in Sui, District Dera Bugti on March 5. Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Ahmed Bugti graced the occasion as Chief Guest, which was hosted by MD & CEO PPL Mohammad Khalid Rehman and attended by MD SSGCL Amin Rajput, members of national assembly, district government, company officials and area notables.
MD PPL presented three donation cheques to CM Balochistan for the new CSR schemes during the ceremony. An amount of Rs. 121 million has been provided to Balochistan Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority (BTEVTA) under skill development programme to train 50 local youth and sponsor their overseas employment in promising international markets, including the Gulf and Europe. Further, Rs. 95 million has been granted to Balochistan Education Endowment Fund (BEEF) under the scholarship programme to support education of 64 students from Balochistan from primary up to higher secondary level, including admission, tuition, boarding and lodging. In addition, Rs. 152.450 million has been given as a first tranche for the rehabilitation of 14 educational and healthcare facilities, established over 10 years ago, in District Dera Bugti, out of the total estimated cost of Rs. 304.906 million.
In his address, CM Mir Sarfaraz Bugti shared his vision for a prosperous Balochistan and highlighted PPL’s continued commitment to uplifting underserved communities in the province through its CSR programme. He shared such initiatives complement the government’s efforts in advancing socio-economic development and creating sustainable opportunities for local communities across Balochistan.
