KARACHI: Renewable energy firm Solcraft and AI-powered mobility platform ORKO have announced a strategic partnership to deploy 500 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across Pakistan within the next two years.
According to a joint statement, the collaboration will deliver a fully integrated solution combining physical charging infrastructure with advanced digital intelligence, marking a first-of-its-kind initiative in the country’s EV ecosystem.
The partnership aims to serve a broad range of stakeholders, including charging network operators, fuel retailers, logistics companies, automotive manufacturers, and public-sector institutions.
The move aligns with Pakistan’s National Electric Vehicle Policy 2025–2030, which targets 30 percent EV penetration in new vehicle sales by 2030 and mandates oil marketing companies to install fast-charging infrastructure across their retail networks.
Under the agreement, ORKO will provide its AI-driven platform for EV charging operations, fleet automation, and real-time fuel analytics, while Solcraft will leverage its expertise in deploying large-scale energy infrastructure.
Together, the companies aim to offer end-to-end solutions that integrate both the physical and digital aspects of mobility, supporting Pakistan’s transition towards cleaner transport and a more digitised energy landscape.
