ISLAMABAD – The Executive Learning Centre (ELC) of the Petroleum Institute of Pakistan (PIP) has emerged as a pivotal force in strengthening capacity building across Pakistan’s oil and gas industry. Since its inception in 2012, the ELC has delivered over 25,000 man-hours of impactful training, addressing technical and non-technical needs across the upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors.
Offering both virtual and in-person training modes, the ELC ensures wide accessibility for professionals nationwide. The programs are delivered by a distinguished cadre of local and international trainers, often in collaboration with globally recognized institutions. Participants benefit from internationally accredited certifications from bodies such as the American Petroleum Institute (API), ASME, NEBOSH, IADC, and IACET, boosting their global employability and professional standing.
One of the ELC’s core strengths lies in its tailored approach—developing customized training aligned with the strategic objectives of PIP member companies. Members enjoy exclusive benefits such as discounted fees, access to globally accredited certifications, and structured career development pathways.
PIP plans to further diversify the ELC’s offerings by introducing new subject areas that reflect the evolving needs of the energy sector and beyond. The Institute also aims to extend its capacity-building efforts to other segments of Pakistan’s economy.
Founded in 1963, the Petroleum Institute of Pakistan represents the entire spectrum of the petroleum industry, with 23 collective industry members and more than 450 individual professionals. Through dynamic initiatives like the ELC, PIP continues to champion professional excellence and sustainable growth in Pakistan’s energy landscape.
