ISLAMABAD – A high-level Chinese delegation led by Yi Jiang of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) and David Chu, CEO of Precise Development (HK) Ltd, is on a five-day official visit to Pakistan to strengthen cooperation in the maritime, energy, and industrial sectors.
During their visit, the delegation held key meetings with Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar, Federal Minister for Energy Awais Leghari, and Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan.
Talks with the Ministry of Maritime Affairs focused on launching modern shipbuilding and repair facilities at Pakistan’s major ports. The two sides also discussed establishing specialized industrial zones in port areas to promote export-oriented manufacturing and job creation.
Technology transfer emerged as a central theme, with plans to introduce advanced systems for port management, ship design, and maritime innovation. The visit is expected to culminate in the signing of several agreements, reinforcing long-term China-Pakistan cooperation in critical infrastructure sectors.
