Energy Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah made a surprise visit to K-Electric’s head office over public complaints. He expressed serious concern about long power outages.
He instructed K-Electric officials to take immediate and practical steps to resolve public complaints and provide relief to citizens.
The minister said feeder trips after rains cause major problems, so K-Electric staff and machinery must be kept on emergency alert. He called for a comprehensive plan for timely feeder repairs and urged activation of complaint centers for quick issue resolution.
Nasir Hussain Shah emphasized uninterrupted electricity is a basic right. Long outages badly affect daily life and also disrupt water pumping and drainage systems.
K-Electric assured the minister they would improve services and use all resources to solve complaints promptly. The minister said he would make surprise visits again to review progress on complaints.
