ISLAMABAD: The US Charge d’Affaires Natalie Baker met with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday to discuss ways to further strengthen Pakistan–US relations, particularly in trade and investment.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed the recent positive momentum in bilateral ties, with Dar highlighting the outcomes of recent high-level engagements in New York and Washington. He expressed Pakistan’s desire to deepen cooperation with the United States across multiple sectors, emphasizing partnerships in energy, technology, and economic development.
Baker conveyed that American companies are showing strong interest in investing in Pakistan’s energy, critical minerals, and information technology sectors, signaling renewed investor confidence in the country’s market potential.
Senator Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to promoting peace and stability in the Middle East and the broader region, adding that Islamabad values its longstanding partnership with Washington and seeks to expand it through mutually beneficial economic and strategic cooperation.
