ISLAMABAD: The LUMS Energy Institute (LEI), in partnership with the Alliance for Climate Justice and Clean Energy (ACJCE) and the Pakistan Renewable Energy Coalition (PREC), will host the second edition of the Asia Energy Transition Summit on December 6–7, 2025, at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS).
The two-day event will convene policymakers, climate and energy experts, academics, and civil society leaders from across Asia to exchange insights on emerging ideas, challenges, and financing models shaping the region’s clean energy transition.
This year’s summit will focus on innovative financing solutions to accelerate Asia’s move away from fossil fuels toward renewable energy. Discussions will cover a wide range of themes, including current energy finance mechanisms such as Just Energy Transition Partnerships (JETPs), the Asian Development Bank’s Energy Transition Mechanism (ETM), and various Coal-to-Clean Credit Initiatives promoted by philanthropic organisations.
Other key agenda items include advancing a just energy transition—ensuring energy remains affordable, accessible, and sustainable across the Asian subcontinent while expanding the role of wind and solar in the region’s future energy mix.
