ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) recorded an outstanding performance during FY25 by fully implementing reforms and directives issued by the Government of Pakistan and the Ministry of Energy (Power Division), Chief Executive Engineer Ch Khalid Mahmood said on Sunday.
He said IESCO prioritized digitalization and transparency by rolling out the “Apna Meter Apni Reading” mobile application across the region and upgrading 118 call centre services to provide timely and efficient customer support. Emphasis was placed on modern technology in customer services, operations, construction and grid management.
During the anti-electricity theft drive, fines exceeding Rs5.5 billion were imposed, Rs6.99 billion recovered from defaulters, and 3,185 offenders arrested. To enhance public safety, IESCO spent Rs2.16 billion to secure over 10,000 hazardous points and established modern customer facilitation centres. Installation of advanced AMI meters has crossed 90 percent in Rawalpindi circles.
The CEO reaffirmed IESCO’s commitment to sustaining this performance momentum in FY26.
