FESCO Excels in NEPRA Annual HSE Performance Awards 2024-25

Faisalabad: Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) has earned top accolades for its commitment to workplace safety, securing second place among government distribution companies and third overall in the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) Annual Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Performance Awards for 2024-25.

The official NEPRA Performance Evaluation Report has been published on NEPRA’s website, highlighting the sustained efforts of all distribution companies (DISCOs) and safety professionals in promoting effective and sustainable HSE standards across Pakistan’s power sector.

FESCO CEO Engr. Muhammad Aamer congratulated the team, particularly Director HSE Kaleemullah, Additional Director Muhammad Amjad, Assistant Director Ammar Afazal Chattha, and safety inspectors Ahmed Adeel Sajid, Muhammad Israr, Muhammad Amjad, Muhammad Usman, Muhammad Sarwar, Muhammad Adeel, Hafiz Naseer, along with other dedicated staff including Irfan Chishti, Bashir Ahmed, Muhammad Sufyan, Ali Raza, and Mazhar Rasool, for their professionalism and tireless efforts.

He emphasized that the achievement reflects teamwork, dedication, and institutional harmony, noting that the FESCO Safety Directorate completed NEPRA’s targets on time and effectively.

The evaluation involved a 20-questionnaire survey under the NEPRA Power Safety Code, with participation from 177 licensed generation, transmission, and distribution companies nationwide. FESCO scored 86.5 points, securing a distinguished position in the Outstanding category.

FESCO continues to ensure the practical implementation of the Safety Code across its region, providing modern tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPEs) to line staff to uphold the highest safety standards.
