Pakistan Petroleum Limited Hosts 9th Annual Exploration Conference to Drive Strategic Growth and Energy Security

Islamabad: Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) successfully held its 9th Annual Exploration Conference on February 16, bringing together senior management, the Exploration team, and support functions to align strategic priorities, review portfolio performance, and define future growth targets.

Addressing the conference, Managing Director & CEO Mohammad Khalid Rehman commended the exploration team for their dedication, technical excellence, and collaborative efforts in advancing both local and international expansion. He underscored the importance of data-driven decision-making, cross-functional integration, and a strong focus on Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) to generate long-term value. He also highlighted prudent diversification and expansion as key pillars for strengthening PPL’s core exploration and development business.

In his opening remarks, GME&CBD Arshad Hussain Palekar outlined PPL’s recent exploration achievements and challenges. He presented a structured lead and prospect inventory aligned with the company’s five-year strategic plan, along with a roadmap to achieve future exploration targets, including international ventures and mineral exploration initiatives.

A key highlight of the conference was SCOPE 26: Strategy of Collaborative, Optimized and Persistent Exploration, which reinforced a disciplined and technology-driven approach to de-risking opportunities while promoting integrated, cross-functional collaboration for sustainable growth.

The conference concluded with a renewed commitment from PPL’s leadership and teams to unlock national and international exploration and production opportunities, contributing meaningfully to Pakistan’s long-term energy security.
