Mohsin Ali Mangi Appointed MD & CEO of Pakistan Refinery Limited

KARACHI, March 12, 2026: Mohsin Ali Mangi has been appointed as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pakistan Refinery Limited (PRL), effective April 30, 2026, the company announced in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Thursday.

The PRL Board of Directors approved his appointment for a three-year term, succeeding Zafar Ul Islam Usmani, who has been serving as Interim MD & CEO following Zahid Mir’s resignation in September 2025.

Mohsin Ali Mangi brings over 24 years of local and international experience across diversified sectors, holding senior roles including Chief Strategy & Technology Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Head of International Trade and Investment Banking. His professional journey spans organizations such as Pakistan State Oil Company, Engro Fertilizers, Engro Vopak and Elengy Terminal, Engro Polymer & Chemicals Limited, and Credit Suisse.

Notably, he has served as COO for pioneering LNG joint ventures with IFC and Royal Dutch Vopak, led Pakistan’s first coal mining and power generation project, and managed petrochemicals trading, production, and logistics. He has also held board positions on PRL, Engro Powergen, and Engro Polymer Trading Limited, while chairing PRL’s Board Committee on the Refinery Expansion Project.

Mohsin Ali Mangi holds an MBA from LUMS and brings extensive capital market expertise in the Oil & Gas, Energy, and Petrochemical sectors.
