KARACHI: A high-level Chinese business delegation comprising more than 50 members is scheduled to visit the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) today (Monday) to participate in business-to-business (B2B) meetings with Pakistani entrepreneurs and investors.

The visiting delegation aims to explore joint venture opportunities and strengthen bilateral trade and investment cooperation between Pakistan and China. Representatives from diverse sectors including chemicals, renewable energy, automobiles, construction, building materials, and information technology are part of the delegation.

During their visit, Chinese businessmen and industrialists will hold meetings with Pakistani counterparts to discuss investment opportunities, technology transfer, industrial collaboration, and potential business partnerships.

The delegation will visit the FPCCI Karachi office, where members of Pakistan’s business community are expected to interact with Chinese investors and traders. Senior Vice President of FPCCI, Saquib Fayyaz Magoon, will host the event on behalf of the apex trade body.

Chairman of the Pakistan China Council FPCCI, Shabbir Hassan Mansha, said the visiting group is among the largest Chinese business delegations to visit Pakistan in recent years. He noted that the visit reflects growing economic cooperation and mutual interest in enhancing bilateral trade and industrial collaboration between the two countries.

Mansha emphasized that Pakistani businesses could significantly benefit from Chinese expertise, advanced technology, and industrial experience to modernize and expand their operations. He urged local entrepreneurs, industrialists, and investors to actively participate in the B2B sessions to explore new investment avenues and partnership opportunities.

He further revealed that Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, has also arrived in Pakistan with the delegation to facilitate interaction between Chinese and Pakistani business communities and support investment discussions.

Additionally, Liu Zhai, Co-founder and Director of IBI Group, will participate in the meetings to help Pakistani businesses identify potential areas for collaboration and investment.

According to FPCCI officials, the Chinese delegation will also visit Lahore for further meetings with local business leaders and industrial stakeholders. Business circles believe the visit could open doors for new joint ventures, industrial partnerships, technology-sharing initiatives, and increased Chinese investment across Pakistan’s key economic sectors.
