KARACHI, PAKISTAN – May 12, 2026: The 23rd International Trade & Industrial Fair (ITIF Asia 2026) officially commenced today at the Expo Center Karachi with a prestigious inauguration ceremony led by Governor Sindh, Nehal Hashmi. The three-day mega industrial exhibition, taking place from May 12–14, has already emerged as a vibrant platform for industrial innovation, technology transfer, and international business collaboration.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior government officials, diplomats, trade representatives, industrialists, and business leaders from across Pakistan and abroad. Governor Hashmi toured various exhibition halls, interacted with exhibitors, and appreciated the efforts of the organizers in promoting industrial development, foreign investment, and technological advancement in Pakistan.
A major highlight of the opening day was the participation of a high-level delegation from the Chinese IBI Group, a globally recognized enterprise valued at RMB 93.5 billion. The delegation signed multiple Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with prominent Pakistani organizations including the Health Devices Association of Pakistan (HDAP), Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association, Pakistan Engineering Council, Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry. These strategic agreements are expected to strengthen bilateral cooperation, encourage technology transfer, and create new opportunities for joint ventures and industrial expansion.
Special attention was drawn to the EPZA Pavilion and Gilgit-Baltistan Pavilion in Hall 1, both of which are showcasing regional industrial capabilities and investment opportunities.
The exhibition halls featured a wide range of industrial technologies and solutions:
- Hall 1: Solar Technology, Alternative Energy Systems, PIFFA Pavilion, and EPZA Pavilion
- Hall 2: Advanced Metal Fabrication Machines with live demonstrations
- Hall 3: Leading Chemical and Coating companies presenting innovative industrial solutions
ITIF Asia 2026 is simultaneously hosting multiple specialized exhibitions covering Solar & Alternative Energy, Power, Engineering, Oil & Gas, Machine Tools & Hardware, Plastics & Rubber, Mines & Minerals, and other industrial sectors.
