Pakistan, Türkiye Explore Enhanced Energy Cooperation and Investment Opportunities

ANKARA: Pakistan and Türkiye have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation in the energy sector, with both countries expressing interest in expanding investment and exploring new avenues for strategic collaboration.

The understanding emerged during a high-level meeting between Adviser to the Prime Minister on Privatisation Muhammad Ali and Türkiye’s Minister for Energy and Natural Resources during Ali’s visit to the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources in Ankara on Monday, according to an official statement.

The two sides exchanged views on enhancing cooperation in the energy sector, identifying investment opportunities, and promoting greater collaboration between Pakistan and Türkiye. Discussions focused on developing strategic partnerships, encouraging private sector participation, and sharing experiences related to energy sector reforms, policy development and infrastructure expansion.

Both leaders emphasized the importance of strengthening institutional and economic ties to support sustainable growth and energy security in their respective countries.

The meeting reflected the longstanding brotherly relations between Pakistan and Türkiye and underscored the shared commitment of both governments to deepen cooperation across key sectors for mutual benefit.

Muhammad Ali appreciated Türkiye’s achievements in energy development and highlighted Pakistan’s keen interest in expanding collaboration in areas of common interest, including energy investment, technology exchange and sectoral reforms.

The two countries agreed to maintain close engagement and continue exploring opportunities for future partnerships aimed at promoting economic growth, energy sustainability and long-term bilateral cooperation.
