HANOVER: WELTEC BIOPOWER will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2026 by showcasing its established bioenergy technologies and expanding portfolio of energy solutions at EnergyDecentral, scheduled for November 10–13 in Hanover, Germany. At booth H09 in Hall 25, the company will present its biogas and biomethane plants, slurry and digestate treatment systems, and its newly introduced battery storage business, WELTEC BATTERY HUB.

Founded in 2001, the Vechta-based company has delivered more than 450 bioenergy plants across 27 countries, with projects spanning Europe, the United States, South America, Asia and Australia. Its stainless steel technology and modular plant designs enable customised solutions suited to different feedstocks and site conditions.

Through WELTEC BATTERY HUB, the company is expanding into battery energy storage systems, offering equipment supply alongside project development, planning support for permit applications, and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services. The solutions are designed for applications including industrial energy management, integration with solar photovoltaic and wind installations, electricity trading, peak shaving and microgrid stabilisation.

Another major focus at the exhibition will be WELTEC BLUE WATER, the company’s slurry and digestate treatment solution. The technology can reduce slurry and digestate volumes by approximately 50% while recovering water suitable for discharge. Already operating in several countries, the system combines low maintenance requirements with relatively low energy consumption, helping address nutrient surpluses and improve resource recovery.

Biogas and biomethane plant design and construction remain central to WELTEC BIOPOWER’s business. Its integrated portfolio includes stainless steel tanks, control systems, hygienisation solutions and feedstock shredding equipment, enabling the development of tailored plant concepts according to available resources and local requirements.

The company’s current projects highlight the potential of its technologies. A biomethane plant north of Madrid is expected to produce up to 60 gigawatt-hours of renewable energy annually, equivalent to the energy requirements of approximately 11,700 households. In Queensland, Australia, WELTEC is constructing a bioenergy plant for a vegetable processor that could eventually supply electricity to around 31,000 households.

At EnergyDecentral 2026, visitors will be able to explore these international projects and discuss customised plant solutions, battery storage technologies and services for combined heat and power (CHP) units, mechanical equipment and biological processes. The company will also provide guidance on options for the continued operation and future development of existing plants.

WELTEC BIOPOWER’s participation in the exhibition will highlight its 25-year track record in bioenergy and its continued expansion into complementary technologies supporting renewable energy generation, storage and resource efficiency.

The company will welcome customers and industry partners at booth H09 in Hall 25 from November 10–13, 2026, in Hanover, Germany.
