The appointment was announced following a meeting of PPEPCA’s Executive Committee held on October 26, 2026, after the association’s 33rd Annual General Meeting on September 28, 2026, during which elections to the Executive Committee were conducted.

Kaczorowski will serve alongside Ahmed Hayat Lak, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDC), who has been elected Chairperson, while Ali Murtaza Abbas, Regional Vice President of MOL Pakistan BV, has been elected Vice Chairperson.

The newly elected leadership is expected to play an important role in strengthening the representation of Pakistan’s exploration and production (E&P) industry and promoting greater cooperation among member companies.

Kaczorowski brings valuable international industry experience through his leadership role at ORLEN S.A. Polish Oil & Gas Co. (Pakistan Branch), which has an established presence in Pakistan’s oil and gas sector. His appointment is expected to contribute to constructive engagement among industry stakeholders and support efforts to address key challenges facing the country’s E&P industry.

The new leadership will focus on advancing the collective interests of member companies, strengthening engagement with government and regulatory authorities, encouraging investment in exploration and production activities, and promoting sustainable growth across the oil and gas sector.

PPEPCA’s Executive Committee congratulated the newly elected office-bearers and expressed confidence in their ability to lead the association effectively and advance its objectives.

The leadership transition comes at a significant time for Pakistan’s energy sector, as the country continues to seek greater domestic exploration, improved energy security, increased investment, and effective policy measures to support the sustainable development of its indigenous oil and gas resources.
