UK oil and gas operators are on the cusp of dramatic transformation as the sector recovers from the impact of the coronavirus and positions itself for a low carbon future. LNG Demand in Asia to Slow Down Next Year
Liquefied natural gas (LNG) demand growth in Asia will slow down next year as the economic recovery stagnates and the capacity of competing fuels nuclear and coal expand in Japan and South Korea, research consultancy Wood Mackenzie said on Thursday. LNG demand in Asia is expected to rise by 12 million tonnes per annum (mmtpa) in 2022, down from the 19 mmtpa growth in 2021, Robert Sims, head of Woodmac’s LNG short-term, gas and LNG research, said in a note. “LNG demand growth in Asia will slow down as the…

Energy plays a vital role in the development of a country. A country’s progress is also estimated by its energy demand and consumption. At present Pakistan has an installed generation capacity of about 37,500MW. The minimum total demand is about 24,000MW whereas the maximum total demand in summers is enhanced to nearly 29,000MW. The country’s transmission and distribution capacity, however, is only approximately 22,000MW. This results in hours of electricity outrages in the hot summer months. Besides that, over 50 million people are not connected to the national grid and…

CPEC will…
