Ban on new CNG Connections Lifted

ISLAMABAD: The government has lifted the ban on new Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) connections across the country. The moratorium on fresh connections on local gas to the industrial sector was imposed in 2011 and the industry was given re-gasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG) connections. ISLAMABAD: The government is likely to keep the prices of petroleum products largely unchanged for November as the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has worked out minor adjustments in the costs of various imported products. ExxonMobil to help build LNG terminal in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: After getting a liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply contract from private-sector consumers, US energy giant ExxonMobil is planning to build the third LNG terminal in Karachi as a joint-venture partner. Some time ago, ExxonMobil, in collaboration with Pakistan’s exploration and production companies, drilled an offshore well to search for hydrocarbon reserves in the Arabian Sea. However, the effort could not prove successful. Now, in a new venture with Energas consortium, the US firm is going to invest in setting up an LNG terminal in Pakistan.
