ISLAMABAD: The country’s top auditor has found that the delay in procurement and signing of a contract for a project under the Dasu Hydropower Project cost the Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) US$3 million per day in lost revenue. The US Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works (EPW) has approved a bipartisan bill that, among other provisions, advances the federal initiative to establish a US national strategic uranium reserve. Under the American Nuclear Infrastructure Act (ANIA), the US Department of Energy will be restricted to only buy uranium recovered from facilities licensed by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission or equivalent agreement state agencies as of the date of enactment. SNGPL reduces UFG losses by 1.60pc

LAHORE   –  In a major development, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has announced significant reduction in UFG and volumetric losses of the company. The company has declared 1.60% and 1,576 MMCF reduction in UFG losses and volumetric losses against targets of 1.25% and 1,425 MMCF respectively.
