Govt Decides To Keep Petroleum Prices Unchanged

The Price Differential Claim (PDC) on high speed diesel (HSD) and Petrol has reached to Rs 34.92 and Rs 23.43 per litre respectively as the government has decided to keep the prices of petroleum products unchanged for the last fortnightly of March (March 16-31) “In line with decision of the prime minister in the last fortnightly review, the petroleum product prices to remain unchanged despite abnormal price increase in international market,” said a statement issued by Finance Division here Tuesday. “Subsequently, to keep the prices at the existing level, government will bear the additional burden of Rs 30 billion  for the fortnight (16-31 March, 2022),” the statement added.

To maintain the prices of the petroleum products at the current level of March 1st to 15th, the government will bear the Price Differential Claims (PDC) of up to Rs 34.92/litre in the prices of various petroleum products, official documents available with claims.
