Saudi Arabia launches 3300 MW Renewable energy projects

These projects, with a total capacity of 3300 MW, include three projects to produce power by wind energy and two projects to produce power by solar energy.

The total capacity of Wind energy production projects for this phase is 1800 MW, distributed  as follows:

  • Yanbu Project with a capacity of 700 MW
  • Al-Ghat Project with a capacity of 600 MW
  • Waad Al Shamal Project with a capacity of 500 MW

The capacity of production projects from Solar energy amounts to 1500 MW, distributed as follows:

  • Al Hanakia Project with a capacity of 1100 MW
  • Tabarjal Project with a capacity of 400 MW

The launch of these projects within the National Renewable Energy Program comes as part of the Kingdom’s objectives of the “Saudi Vision 2030, statement mentioned.
