The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has increased the monthly rent for gas meters from Rs40 to Rs500 following a recent hike in gas tariff, ARY News reported on Wednesday.

As per a warning gave by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) , the month to month charges for gas meters have fundamentally expanded by Rs 500.

Regardless of whether the client use gas, the purchaser needs to pay at least Rs 500 every month which is pertinent from January 2023. In addition, clients should pay three months’ backload in the record of meter lease and gas duty.

The expansion in meter lease won’t be appropriate to shoppers under 0.9 cubic hectare in November-December, in the mean time, clients with low gas utilization will be absolved from meter lease. The representative said that gas is as yet less expensive than LPG, wood and coal, then again, the residents tracked down it foul play to recuperate the levy from the shoppers.
