ISLAMABAD: Starting from July 2023, consumers can expect a potential 50 per cent increase in natural gas prices in Pakistan. On Friday, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) concluded its determinations for two struggling state-run gas utilities and submitted them to the government for issuance of a notification. Power generation falls 22.8pc in April as economic slowdown bites

KARACHI: Pakistan’s power generation fell by 22.8 percent in April 2023 to 10,010 GWh from 12,960 GWh a year earlier, as industries faced the brunt of an economic slowdown.
