PM Shehbaz Facilitates Historic Energy Agreement in AJK


In a significant stride towards bolstering Pakistan’s energy infrastructure, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif presided over the signing of a momentous Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Governments of Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The agreement, inked on 16 May 2024, paves the way for the ambitious 960 MW Dudhnial Hydropower Project.

The ceremony, graced by dignitaries and officials from both regions, marks a collaborative effort to harness renewable energy resources and enhance power generation capabilities. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the strategic importance of such initiatives in meeting Pakistan’s growing energy demands sustainably.
