Bozhou, China: In a significant step toward industrial cooperation, the Sindh government has announced the establishment of a Super Mini Truck assembly line in Karachi in collaboration with Chinese investors. The announcement was made during the unveiling ceremony of the Super Mini Truck in Bozhou, China.
Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, along with Provincial Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, attended the launch event, joined by Chairman of Chery Holding Yin Tongyue and Group CEO of Budget Petroleum Investment Holdings (Hong Kong) Zahid Bashir.
Speaking at the event, Sharjeel Memon said the project is a powerful example of Pakistan-China industrial collaboration and will usher in new opportunities for growth and prosperity. Developed jointly by Chery Holding and Pedi Technology Company Limited, the Super Mini Truck aims to address urban and rural logistics challenges through sustainable, affordable, and innovative transport solutions.
The minister highlighted that the assembly line, to be set up in Karachi, will enhance local manufacturing, generate employment, support technology transfer, and position Karachi as a regional hub for automobile production.
Additionally, he announced that charging stations for electric vehicles will soon be established across Sindh, providing further momentum to the province’s green and industrial initiatives.
