Karachi: The National Forum for Environment & Health (NFEH) is set to host the 22nd Environment Conference 2025 alongside the 22nd Annual Environment Excellence Awards (AEEA) on July 28, 2025, at the Local Hotel, Karachi. With the theme “Environment, Climate Change & Corporate Leadership – Towards a Sustainable Pakistan,” the event aims to bring together leading stakeholders to discuss pathways toward a greener and more sustainable future for the country.
The primary objective of this conference is to promote greater awareness and understanding of environmental and climate-related challenges facing Pakistan. It aims to foster responsible leadership within the corporate and industrial sectors, highlighting the importance of adopting sustainable practices and complying with environmental standards. The event also seeks to recognize and honor organizations demonstrating exceptional commitment to environmental protection and corporate responsibility. By creating a platform for dialogue between policymakers, environmental experts, industry leaders, and civil society, the conference will encourage collaborative solutions to combat pollution, manage waste, and mitigate climate change impacts. Moreover, it intends to stimulate policy discussions and encourage innovation to drive Pakistan’s transition toward a green economy.
The conference will open with a welcome address by Mr. Muhammad Naeem Qureshi, President NFEH, followed by keynote speeches from prominent figures including Mr. Nadeem Arif (CEO, EMC Pakistan), Mr. Tariq Ali Nizamani (MD, Sindh Solid Waste Management Board), and Mr. Waqar Phulpoto (DG, Sindh EPA). Renowned parliamentarian Ms. Mehtab Akbar Rashidi, Member National Assembly, will also address the session.
A high-level panel discussion will be moderated by Ms. Afia Salam, a noted environmental expert, and will feature:

The 22nd Annual Environment Excellence Awards 2025 ceremony will follow the conference, honoring over 70 companies and institutions for exemplary commitment to environmental sustainability. Speeches will be delivered by Ms. Shaheena Sher Ali, Minister for Women Development, Government of Sindh, and Mr. Dost Muhammad Rahimoon, Advisor to the CM on Environment, Climate Change & Coastal Development. Noted ecologist Mr. Rafi ul Haq and Jury Member Mr. Shams ul Haq Memon will also share their insights.
The event will conclude with a Vote of Thanks by Ms. Ruqiya Naeem, Project Head AEEA 2025 and General Secretary, NFEH, followed by dinner and a group photo with the award winners.
