ISLAMABAD: In a landmark step toward sustainable transport, the government on Wednesday conducted the country’s first electronic balloting for electric two- and three-wheelers under the Pakistan Accelerated Vehicle Electrification (PAVE) Scheme. The digital draw, inaugurated by Federal Secretary for Industries and Production Saif Anjum, allocated 40,000 electric motorcycles and 1,000 electric rickshaws to successful applicants from across Pakistan, including Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir.
