LAHORE / ISLAMABAD: The Punjab government has rolled out a clear and structured application process under the New Energy Vehicle (NEV) Policy 2025–30, aimed at promoting electric motorcycles, rickshaws and other clean transport solutions while reducing fuel imports and carbon emissions.
Under the policy, citizens can apply online for subsidies and financing facilities for electric vehicles through a dedicated digital portal. The initiative is part of the broader push to accelerate electric mobility and support Pakistan’s transition toward sustainable energy and transport.
Application Process
Eligible applicants are required to submit their applications online during the announced registration window. After verification, beneficiaries are shortlisted through a computerised lottery system to ensure transparency and fairness.
The policy offers financial incentives including subsidies for electric motorcycles and three-wheelers, along with easy installment-based financing through partner banks. Special consideration is given to women, delivery riders, and commercial fleet operators to encourage inclusive participation.

The NEV policy is expected to reduce fuel consumption, lower transport costs for citizens, and cut air pollution in urban centres. It also aims to stimulate local EV assembly, charging infrastructure development, and job creation in the clean mobility value chain.
