Dutch Ambassador Visits FrieslandCampina Engro Pakistan to Discuss Dairy Sector Growth and Future Investment

Karachi: The Dutch Ambassador to Pakistan, H.E. Robert-Jan Seigert, visited the headquarters of Friesland Campina Engro Pakistan Limited (FCEPL), where he met with the company’s leadership to discuss the future of Pakistan’s dairy industry, investment opportunities, and the role of local talent in driving sustainable sectoral growth.

During the meeting, FCEPL’s leadership presented an overview of the company’s performance, strategic initiatives, and future growth plans. Discussions focused on the evolving landscape of Pakistan’s dairy sector, its potential for modernization, and opportunities to strengthen the country’s dairy value chain through innovation, investment, and skills development.

The meeting also emphasized the importance of developing local talent to support industry expansion and highlighted the need for long-term collaboration among stakeholders to unlock the sector’s full potential.

Speaking on the occasion, H.E. Robert-Jan Seigert said:

“Pakistan’s dairy sector presents significant opportunities for growth, supported by a capable workforce and an increasing focus on modern practices. Ensuring access to safe dairy products, particularly for children, and encouraging a shift away from loose milk consumption remain vital for public health. Kashan Hasan, Managing Director of FCEPL, welcomed the Ambassador’s visit and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to transforming Pakistan’s dairy industry.

As part of the visit, Ambassador Seigert also addressed FCEPL employees during a town hall session, where he highlighted the potential of Pakistani professionals and encouraged greater innovation and leadership in the country’s dairy industry. Employees engaged in an interactive discussion on the sector’s future and their role in its continued development.

The visit concluded with both sides reaffirming their commitment to fostering stronger collaboration among industry stakeholders, supporting sustainable growth, and ensuring greater access to safe and nutritious dairy products for future generations in Pakistan.
