Karachi: Sindh Minister for Energy, Planning, and Development, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, has announced that over 2,000 events are being held across Sindh to commemorate Independence Day and the “Battle for Truth” campaign. These activities, directed by Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Chief Minister Sindh, are being celebrated with great zeal in all government departments and institutions.
Speaking as the chief guest at a ceremony organized at the Thar Coal Energy Board (TCEB) office, Nasir Shah inaugurated the celebrations by cutting a cake. The event was attended by MPA Qasim Siraj Soomro, TCEB MD Tariq Ali Shah, STDC CEO Saleem Shaikh, TCEB Director Nisar Memon, and other senior officials.
Minister Shah highlighted that the Sindh Energy Department was among the first to begin the celebrations, holding its second event in full compliance with the party leadership’s directives. He stressed that commemorating Independence Day alongside the “Battle for Truth” campaign is a matter of national pride and unity.
MD TCEB Tariq Ali Shah praised the enthusiastic participation of staff and lauded STDC for leading the initiative with the first event. He noted that the success of the “Battle for Truth” has uplifted the national spirit and reaffirmed public confidence in the country’s future.
