ISLAMABAD: Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), Pakistan’s largest exploration and production (E&P) company, has significantly enhanced oil production at its Kal-03 well, recording a massive 1,400% increase in output.
The Kal-03 well is located in Chakwal district of Punjab. According to a notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Monday, the surge in production follows successful operational interventions aimed at optimising the well’s performance.
The development marks a major operational milestone for OGDCL and is expected to contribute positively to the company’s overall production portfolio. Industry analysts view the increase as a significant boost to domestic oil output, supporting efforts to reduce reliance on imported energy and strengthen Pakistan’s upstream sector.
Further technical details regarding the enhancement measures and revised daily production figures are expected to be shared by the company in due course.
