# PTCL, WWF-Pakistan Join Hands for ‘Plant for Pakistan’ Tree Plantation Drive
**Islamabad:** Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), in collaboration with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF-Pakistan), organized a tree plantation drive at the PTCL Training Academy in Islamabad under the **‘Plant for Pakistan’** initiative as part of PTCL’s Independence Day campaign, **‘Pakistan Jitna Jawan.’**
The initiative reflects the organizations’ shared commitment to promoting a cleaner, greener and more sustainable Pakistan while encouraging collective action for environmental protection.
PTCL CEO **Nadeem Khan** and WWF-Pakistan Senior Director Programmes **Rab Nawaz** participated in the plantation activity alongside senior executives from both organizations and members of the PTCL family. The initiative brought together employees and leadership to contribute towards a healthier environment and a greener, more climate-resilient future.
The **‘Plant for Pakistan’** initiative forms part of PTCL’s broader sustainability efforts aimed at reducing its environmental footprint, lowering its carbon emissions and progressing towards its long-term goal of achieving **net-zero carbon emissions**.
Through its **‘Pakistan Jitna Jawan’** campaign, PTCL is highlighting initiatives that reflect Pakistan’s spirit, resilience and potential while promoting a more connected, empowered and sustainable nation.
The tree plantation drive reinforces the message that building a better Pakistan requires not only technological progress and innovation, but also a collective commitment to protecting, restoring and nurturing the country’s natural environment.
