KARACHI: Cnergyico CEO Amir Abbassciy and Vice Chairman Usama Qureshi met with Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik, Secretary Petroleum Hamed Yaqoob Sheikh and Additional Secretary Zafar Abbas to discuss the refinery upgradation policy and key challenges confronting Pakistan’s refining sector.
During the meeting, Cnergyico’s leadership highlighted issues affecting southern refineries and the broader refining industry, stressing the need for supportive policies and timely resolution of operational and regulatory challenges.
The company’s representatives appreciated the Petroleum Ministry’s efforts and commitment to facilitating solutions to the issues faced by the refining sector.
The discussions also focused on the importance of modernising Pakistan’s refining infrastructure to enhance efficiency, strengthen domestic fuel production and improve the resilience of the country’s energy supply chain.
Cnergyico’s leadership reaffirmed the company’s commitment to brownfield refinery upgradation and continued investment in the refining sector, supporting the government’s efforts to modernise petroleum infrastructure and strengthen Pakistan’s long-term energy security.
