KARACHI: Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik visited the Corporate Headquarters of Pak-Arab Refinery Company (PARCO), where he held discussions with the company’s senior management on Pakistan’s evolving petroleum landscape, energy security priorities and the importance of resilient energy infrastructure.
The Minister was received by PARCO Managing Director Irteza Ali Qureshi and senior leadership of the company. Secretary Petroleum Hamed Yaqoob Sheikh also accompanied the Minister during the visit.
The discussions focused on Pakistan’s energy security requirements and the role of reliable petroleum infrastructure in supporting economic growth and national resilience. The participants also discussed the importance of maintaining an efficient and dependable petroleum supply chain amid the country’s changing energy needs.
PARCO, with its integrated operations spanning refining, transportation and storage, plays a significant role in the movement and supply of petroleum products across Pakistan.
During the visit, the Federal Minister underscored the importance of strengthening the country’s petroleum infrastructure, improving supply chain resilience and ensuring reliable energy supplies to support economic activity.
PARCO Managing Director Irteza Ali Qureshi and the company’s senior leadership briefed the Minister on the company’s operations and its role in supporting Pakistan’s energy security.
The visit reaffirmed the government’s focus on strengthening petroleum infrastructure and ensuring a reliable and resilient energy supply chain to meet Pakistan’s future energy requirements.
