The lineup combines contemporary design with technology-driven features, including cruise control, regenerative battery technology, NFC functionality and anti-theft systems. The electric bikes offer lithium battery options, with selected models providing a range of up to 200 kilometres.
The company had earlier informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange that the project was being developed at its manufacturing facility in the Sundar Green Special Economic Zone (SGSEZ), Lahore.
Speaking to Business Recorder, Muzaffar Hayat Paracha said the manufacturing capacity would be operationalised in phases. He added that Airlink plans to localise approximately 95% of production over the next two to three years, gradually reducing its reliance on imported components.
The company also intends to leverage its Airfin financing service to introduce buy-now-pay-later (BNPL) options for electric bikes, making them more accessible and affordable for consumers.
“Our vision is to contribute towards building a stronger, more progressive Pakistan through meaningful innovation,” said Aslam Hayat Piracha, Chairman of Airlink Communication Limited.
He said AirV aims to contribute to the transformation of Pakistan’s transportation landscape by making modern, reliable and technology-driven mobility more accessible. The initiative, he added, goes beyond introducing electric bikes and seeks to strengthen the country’s EV ecosystem through local manufacturing, technological advancement and sustainable business practices.
Speaking at the launch, Muzaffar Hayat Paracha, Group CEO of Airlink, said the company’s growth had been driven by identifying emerging opportunities and developing them into successful businesses.
“As Pakistan moves towards electric mobility, we see immense potential to redefine the future of transportation. This launch marks another significant milestone in Airlink’s journey of innovation and diversification,” he said.
Pakistan’s EV industry is gaining momentum amid government policy initiatives, growing environmental concerns and rising fuel costs. However, the sector continues to face challenges, particularly in developing the necessary charging infrastructure, local manufacturing capabilities and supporting ecosystem.
Industry stakeholders have described Pakistan’s EV sector as being at an early stage of development, requiring consistent government support and sustained investment to achieve long-term growth.
