PAKISTAN WILL HAVE 200,000 CORONAVIRUS CASES IN JULY: WHO WARNS

The World Health Organisation has warned Pakistan that the corona virus cases  will be increased to 200000 after June, if the government fails to take effective measures in the country.

The Director General WHO, Doctor, Tedos Adhano, warned Pakistan about the upcoming wave of the covid-19 while he was addressing the virtual meeting at the launch of Pakistan National Strategic Preparedness and Response Plan.  This plan of strategy is is joint response of Pakistan and other UN partner countries to fight against coronavirus in the world.

Currently, the number of cases of coronavirus in Pakistan has increased exponentially. There are total 10986 cases have been reported in the country. Among these 230 have died due to this lethal virus.

Provincially, Punjab has reported 4706 cases, followed by Sindh that has reported 3671 cases thus far. Moro ever, KPK has reported 1457 cases and Balochistan has reported 607 cases. Islamabad and GB has reported 204, 290 cases respectively. However, the cases in Azad Jammu and Kashmir are reported 55 only so far. Moreover,

Globally, the situation of coronavirus has been worsening as there are 2672260 cases have been reported. A total of 186,933 deaths have been reported globally.

The situation of coronavirus in Pakistan is alarming amid the unpreparedness by the federal government.

Unfortunately, there is massive tug of war between the provinces and the federal government. The PTI government in federal is reportedly seems lazy in making the lock down effective as asked by WHO. Notably, stern lock down is need of an hour to contain the coronavirus cases in Pakistan. It is also important to note that the coronavirus cases in Pakistan have increased exponentially since last 15 days which is caution for the upcoming dangerous wave of the covid-19 in every part of the country.
